In most cases cargo fumigation is carried out in transit in the hold of the ship. A distinctive feature of our company is to meet the requirements of importing countries, applying methods of fumigation at the port of loading and the ability to provide full-cycle transit fumigation.

Fumigation in transit should be carried out only at the discretion of the ship's captain.

It’s important ship owners, Freight Company and all other interested parties understand this, when considering transportation of cargo that may be infected.

Before fumigation works PE "FDS" receives application and necessary information from agency company in advance. This will identify shipment details such as estimated time of arrival and ship loading, followed by country of origin, where the cargo is heading to and weight in tons.

Ships of sea and river fleets, which provides for the disinfection of cargo, must meet all safety requirements for handling by fumigants.

Holds inspection to determine the ship's readiness to fumigation should be carried out prior to its load when the holds are empty.

After loading the ship and realization of preparatory work fumigation team begin fumigation of cargo.

When all work was implemented the most important information about fumigation is added to the fumigation certificate.

Fumigation is a method of pest control that completely fills an area with gaseous pesticides—or fumigants—to suffocate or poison the pests within. It is used to control pests in buildings (structural fumigation), soil, grain, and produce, and is also used during processing of goods to be imported or exported to prevent transfer of exotic organisms. This method also affects the structure itself, affecting pests that inhabit the physical structure, such as woodborers and drywood termites.
