Post-harvest grain storing is a guarantee of food security of the country. Taking into consideration that early grain are harvested in late June and need to be stored for a long time, work on elevators is carried on throughout the year.

For each type of grain (feed, seed and food) needs a separate program protection.

One of the most important measures to combat pests is fumigation (gassing). One of the most dangerous pests is weevil. Presence of infection is impossible to determine during visual inspection.

During storage, the larva develops into adults and continues to proliferate. Infected grain is unfit for food and dangerous for life.

It is used to control pests in buildings (structural fumigation), soil, grain, and produce, and is also used during processing of goods to be imported or exported to prevent transfer of exotic organisms. This method also affects the structure itself, affecting pests that inhabit the physical structure, such as woodborers and drywood termites.
